An interesting view of Time and the Great Ages, as seen by some ancient cultures.
This page also includes notes I had taken from talks given by a native American living in Ohio.
I've found it remarkable that a few different ancient civilizations had a time wheel of great Ages that all coincide. Each happens to last 25,920 years. This is the exact time it takes for our Milky Way galaxy to make a complete revolution. Each civilization depicted this time span, this complete revolution, as sort of a "season" of growth or evolution for mankind.

It repeats itself over and over.  With each completion of this wheel, each spin of our galaxy, mankind evolves a little more. There are two points where it's been said a major "shift" occurs. They are 900 years from either end, as I've shown with red dots. At these points a cataclysm occurs which causes mankind to, for the most part, lose the memory of its history and sort of have to start over. It's like a "ten steps forward, 8 or 9 steps back" sort of progression. With each revolution we progress a little bit further. Then we struggle again thru major challenges roughly every 13,000 years apart. Each time we continue on a gradual evolution thru the cycles.

These ancient wheels of Time as well as the Mayan Calender and other sources all point toward something major happening in the very near future as we fully step into the Aquarian Age. Each of the 12 Great Ages lasts from 900 to roughly 2,000 years, and cycles in backward order from our normal zodiac year. We're now passing from the Piscean Age of a more watery, less focused awareness to the Aquarian Age of sharper focus and better understanding. People who are more sensitive to impulses of the comingNew Age feel its influence a few decades in advance of its actual beginning. They've become known as the "New Age" people. More and more people feel the coming impulses and new ways of thinking as the New Age approaches. We don't know its actual beginning date, but many of us speculate that it will occur on December 12, 2012.

From what I've learned this particular change or "shift" won't be like any others in the past. It's been said that this time we're going to retain our memory this time and "pass thru" it consciously. It's not going to be total devastation. According to many different sources including the Mayan Calendar, Anthroposophists, Theosophists and many others who've looked into coming changes, the change that is due this time around will be remarkably different than those in the past. The Mayans themselves DID NOT say it would be "the end" of time. They said that Time will no longer be measured the same. That's a very provocative statement! It leaves the door open to wonder whether there may be some sort of dimensional shift in time.

I was introduced to the wheel below in 1974 while studying at the Waldorf Teacher Training Institute. At that time the Institute was in Detroit. The Waldorf system is based on the findings of the gifted clairvoyant Rudolf Steiner (1861-1925). We studied things right from the source of their truth, as seen thru clairvoyance. In acient times it was known as the gift of  "prophecy". More recently it's been called Remote Viewing or simply clairvoyance. This Wheel of Great Ages had been discussed by Rudolf Steiner as valid thru his gift of clairvoyance. Its accuracy was also verified by my professor, Werner Glas, thru his own clairvoyance. Werner also pointed out the two places 900 years from either end of the wheel where some kind of a cataclysm occurs.

That class, as in so many classes throughout the two years I was studying there, was so fascinating! I sat there captivated by what Werner was telling us. He explained that the point on the right side of the wheel which I've shown in red, was almost 13,000 years ago. What happened then was the Great Flood which destroyed Atlantis. He explained to us that we are approaching another Noah-like scenario where people will need to be prepared for what is to come. He indicated tho that something very different will be happening this time around. He stated that it's an exciting time to be alive.

"The figure of Noah", Werner said in his deep dramatic voice with the British accent, "was an Atlantean."  

....  It was such an intriguing statement!

Werner Glas went on to explain that the point just beyond the left end (which I've shown in red) is the point that we're approaching now. He explained that it's at this left edge at each cycle of the wheel where the great shift or change is more pronounced. It seems to me now, in light of the Mayan calendar, that this "shift" could possibly occur on December 21st, 2012.  After I post this I will show a few other interesting things on the subject of the Great Ages on a separate page. The link to that page will be at the bottom of this one.
                                          

I've included in the wheel above 2 different versions of this Great Wheel of time. On the outer edge is how the ancient Hindu and Tibetan elders had divided and labeled it. On the inside is the interpretation using the Greek Zodiac names which show us moving into the Age of Aquarius.. Note that these zodiac Ages move in backward progression from our yearly zodiac signs. What interested me most was this Time Wheel of the exact duration for our galaxy to make a revolution  -  which a few different ancient civilizations all spoke of. It reflects the time it takes for our our solar system and for Earth to make the spin with the Miky Way Galaxy so that we're again facing the center of our Universe. Edgar Cayce had said that Arcturus is at this center.

In light of current global weather etc., it's worth noting that they all spoke of a major occurance that is due to happen in the near future. I don't mean to spread any sense of doom  - I just find it interesting to observe all this. My own intuitive sense is that I can "feel" the wonderful conditions that lay ahead, just beyond what will appear to us as so destructive. What intrigues me most is that my professor had spoken about this same thing  -  an event that's coming. And then an 'extraordinary' series of events led to me finding a book called "Extraordinary TImes, Extraordinary Beings: Experiences of an American Diplomat with Maitreya and Masters of Wisdom" by Wayne S. Peterson.  It was one more of the many "coincidences" that happen so often in my life.

I woke up over the summer of 2007 with a strange sense of knowing that there were 3 books "waiting" for me at a certain used bookstore in a distant part of town. It was a bookstore that I had never been to before. Stranger than that, I also knew that two of the books were about the Masters and that the other was by Ingo Swann, who began the protocols for Remote Viewing. I had a sense that the other two books were probably by the Theosophical Society who dealt quite a bit with the Masters. It's a subject that has intrigued me since my studies in Anthroposophy. The words Masters and Hierarchy are sort of interchangeable.

I got out to the bookstore and asked for the Spiritual-Metaphysical aisle, and as I walked into it I looked left and my eyes fell on a particular book. It was called "Extraordinary Times, Extraordinary Beings: Experiences of An American Diplomat with Maitreya and Masters of Wisdom".  It would prove to be most interesting because of the events that would follow. I also found "Letters From The Masters of Wisdom" by the Theosophical Society and then "Everybody's Guide To Natural ESP" by Ingo Swann. More amazing "coincidences" led to my meeting Wayne Peterson, author of the first book, that October of '07 in Nevada. He repeated much of what my professor had said. I found this so interesting! Both said that a great event is coming. Both said that Maitreya (my - tray' - ah) is the ancient soul name for Christ. That Maitreya is coming in a physical body as an ordinary, tho very enlightened human being. One who helps people to awaken in understanding and consciousness. All of this will be done 'incognito', as an ordinary human being, until the time comes to announce his true identity.

My professor, along with the other Anthroposophists as well as Wayne Peterson said something else that was SO interesting! They've all said that along with Christ or Maitreya, the Hierarchy of Masters have decided that 42 other Masters are also coming in physical bodies to help humanity make this extraordinary transition. And that they're here now on Earth, incognito as human beings! Quite a statement!  It's so interesting to observe all this  -  all this coming together of ancient thoughts with current events and beliefs from several different sources both in the present and from the ancient past.

For one more version of a great cycle of time, I've shown a native American wheel below.  There are some interesting parallels to the others, including the exact duration of it and the fact that this one also shows our point in time as just entering a more enlightened "new age".

The Seneca Wheel of Ages ,  also lasting 25,920 years,

 



What follows are notes given by talks by a Native American. Any additions from me are in parentheses.

The Wheel of Ages of the Seneca nation is divided into 7 parts or "worlds". They say that we are now at the end of the 4th world, the world of Separation and passing into the fifth world of Illumination. Seneca legends say that this world of Separation will end with the "return of comets".

In 1994 an Indian woman was typing and messages began coming thru her. In the ancient Indian tradition we're to honor our visions and what comes thru us. Indians are having more and more incidents like this, as well as visions.

Indians say that we're now in "a season" of their prophecies where we're given the opportunity to become strong. The Incas say we're in a stage of "meeting ourselves again". Senecas say that before we go into the 5th world of Illuminination in 2013, we must "say thank you" to fear and let go of it  -  no more of it. Thank "doom and gloom" too, and "all those religious prophecies". Make room for Joy and Optimism. The Senecas say that it's time to deal with our conflicts so that Nothing can any longer take away from our Personal Power.

Going by the Mayan Calendar, at 5:23am on Dec. 21, 2012 there will be an amazing change. 2011 - 2013 is a "season of interesting things" according to the Mayans.

"When the eagle flies with the condor" means when the ancient wisdom of the south is welcomed by the "eagle" of the north. Then "Mother Earth will awaken". This is happening now. Tribes and people from the south (South America) and sharing wisdom with tribes of the north.

Weather patterns and poles will shift. The Earth is "birthing" into a "Golden Age of Peace and Harmony". Indian healing ceremonies for Mother Earth began in 1980  -  to embrace Mother Earth and welcome a New Age or New World without going into fear and panic, but in a peaceful way.

The Incas got help building great stone structures from "The Luminous One". He left in the 1500s and said he'd return. The Incas then mistook the conquistadors for him. The "Luminous One" was known for "building cities in the sky". He told them he'd return "after the 13 hells" and after the "Age of meeting ourselves again".

The nations to have come and gone were: 1. Inca, 2. Seneca, 3. Aztec. The third nation to have come and gone may have been from "elsewhere". The Aztec calendar ended 8/13/99. They said the 12 - 14 years to follow would be determined by our actions.

Our mission is to direct people's focus from fear and destruction to Joy in Life.  Especially to reach younger people.

5 comets will come before the "big change" There was a blue one. Then Hale Bopp was a red one, then 3 more, or what 'appear' to be comets.

The bottom line is that we're gong to make it! No "doom and gloom" scenario from this Native American perspective. ________________________________________________________

Sunday 4/29/01, at a talk in someone's home in Grand Rapids. Ohio.

The Jesuits were the only ones of the white religious groups who entered Native American communities with the foresight of "seeing the Good and that there IS Good" in everyone. They became as the Indians until other French Jesuits came.

Also the "chaste" first Europeans thought cats were devilish and killed them  -  causing an imbalance which the native American Indians saw. It caused rampant rats and bubonic plague.

Someone was invited into the Vatican in the 1880s and saw ancient writings which were deleted fromt he bible. Some were interviews of the Holy Family by the Sanhedrin. They were finally published in 1980 as "Writings of The Sanhedrin". Some were interviews with Mary and her experiences with the angel. Book - "The Archko Volume".

(Very interesting records. I bought the book. It contains interviews with the shepherds as well as local townspeople who were interrogated on exactly what they had seen the night Jesus was born. The Snhedrin were sent out to interview them, and the book contains their literal accounts.So interesting to read the descriptions in their own words. There are also records of separate interrogations held  with Joseph and Mary on the person who came to tell them of the birth. The person they called an angel. It sheds a new light on the angel Gabriel who had come to both Mary and Joseph separately. He knocked on their doors and appeared like a normal person except that he seemed to emit a faint "glow". There are also other records that had been kept in Constantinople and eventually moved to the Vatican.)

Back to my notes. :
Sanhedrin interviewed the Holy Family  -  Joseph and Mary, along with whoever in the village had come out and heard/seen the angels singing to announce Jesus' birth.

When they interviewed Pilate he said that he really sensed that Jesus was the REAL Messiah. In the Arkho Volume it says "the vaults were emptied to the crowd"  -  on the day that the crowd chose Jesus over Barnabas  -  as a way of saying that it was up to them. They chose Jesus because he was too radical.

Jewish Sanhedrin and the Romans worked together on the crucifiction. Pilate "washed his hands" of it, which wasn't a Roman tradition. If he hadn't "washed his hands", he'd have been taken back to the Sanhedrin for them to complete the 12 steps needed before punishment. But a guard had seen him wash his hands and mistook it that he was to take the prisoner Jesus to the flogging. Family wasn't allowed at the crucifiction, by Roman rules.

The image of satan with tail & horns came in the 1200s to add fear. ___________________________________________________________

MAYANS say that 1992 - 2012 is the "Time of No Time".

AZTECS said that before they had come there were 3 other civilizations that came and went on Earth.

INCA talk of the "return of the Luminous One". Inca lived 1500 - 1200 b.c. They were expecting his return in 2012.

LAKOTA have a tradition of "Star Bundles". It could possibly be a traditional ceremony about a parallel Earth maybe ...according to RE.

CHIEF SEATTLE said "Man has forgotten when he walked among the stars".

OMAHA always had 2 chiefs and 2 sacred pipes. One for those with a "Star Origin" and one for those from Earth.

Many Indian tribes have stories of "giants" who lived on or visited Earth.

There are 9 sacred White Buffalo now. The first one was born 8/20/94. A "miracle calf maiden" came.

PAWNEE arrange their teepees by the constellations.

LAKOTA have two Star Maps.

CAHOKIA civilization lived for 400 years outside of St. Louis. In 1500ad about six million Incans lived on Earth.

The Inca have been waiting 5,000 years for the prophecy of the Condor of the south flying with the Eagle of the north.
Incas say our solar systen cycles around a point approximately every 26,000 years. They say that 5 times in this cycle there's a "tunnel of the 13 serpents". No holy ceremonies are going to welcome the "sacred serpent" Quetzalcoatl.

The Earth is encircled by a "Sacred Council". Some Native Americans say they've been in contact with that Council.

ANASAZIs last ceremony in the teepee was to connect deeply with themselves and with another point in the cosmos.

SENECAs have a time wheel with the fifth part or "Fifth World" a "Time of Illumination" to begin in 2012 and bring 1.000 years of Peace.

I've shown the Wheel of Ages again below to compare it with an image of Earth's precession I'll add below it. Again, on the outer edge is the Wheel of Ages as given by ancient Tibetans & Hindus. They said, interestingly, that it was given to them by "the ancient ones".This could possibly have been the Atlanteans, or the Lemurians which was a culture that began before and then overlapped with the Atlanteans for a time. Lemuria was in the Pacific. Asian civilizations are believed to be descendants of Lemurians.

In the Tibetan and Hindu view there were 4 Yugas (Ages) which mirrored each other on each side of this Wheel of Ages, making 8 divisions in all. Their duration changed progressively, as I've shown by the fractions below each one. On the inside of the wheel are the ancient Greek Ages which have the zodiac names. Each one varies in length, lasting from roughly 900 to over 2,000 years.

In the perspective of this wheel, we're moving from the darkest Age (Kali Yuga), and also from the old Pisces, more dreamlike influence. At the same time we're emerging from the side of the wheel that's "falling asleep" with all the affects of those influences  -  into a Golden Age as well as the uplifting Age of Aquarius. At the same time we're coming onto the awakening side of the wheel which is moving toward the center of our Universe. Interestingly, I just read something relating to this in the Cayce biography by W. H. Church called "Many Happy Returns". Cayce said that the center of our universe is Arcturus.

This wheel of Great Ages can be seen in the following books: "Nothing In This Book Is True, But It's Exactly How Things Are" by Bob Frissell. The wheel is also in Drunvalo's "Ancient Secret of the Flower of Life" Book 1.

We are approaching a crucial point in time. In a way it sort of feels like elements of Noah. Of preparing for a shift into a New Earth, as Eckhart Tolle put it. (I highly recommend his book "A New Earth", by the way. I recognize him as a great Teacher and a great soul. I'd encourage you to get the audio versions. He reads it himself, and it's wonderful to hear Tolle's voice and what he emphasizes. Even more touching to me is the audio version of his previous book, The Power of Now.

Again, the outer edge of the wheel below has the ancient Hindu and Tibetan names for the Ages or what they call "Yugas". On the inside is the ancient Greek zodiac terms used for the Ages. Oh! One other thing! If you were to do a search on the Yugas, you'd find that the Hindus and Tibetans put the Greek Ages at the opposite ends of their wheel from what I've shown here. Werner explained and emphasized that they had this wrong! The way I've drawn it here is the correct way. We're emerging from the Kali Yuga and also from the Piscean Age and into the Aquarian Age, as shown here.

At the bottom of this page there's a link to more information on the Ages. I'm going to point out more interesting elements about the Great Ages. I'll make another page.

The actual start of the Age could possibly be December 21st, 2012, as the Mayans had indicated. The Mayans had said that "time will no longer be measured the same" as of that date. I speculate that the great shift could possibly take place on that date. One more thing, as I'm discussing all this. Something which might give a little practical view of how to prepare for this shift. Of all the people you hear or read about who discuss this 2012 shift, it's all just speculation. I've just recently seen scientists   -   on the National Geographic and Discovery Channels  -  speaking of a "great alignment" of planets that's going to occur. It's going to be greater, and will encompass more celestial bodies, than other alignments that have occurred over the centuries. This "great alignment" happens to take place roughly every 13,000 years. Guess what?! They've said that it happens on December 21st, 2012! The scientists said  that they expect some sort of effects, but they have no idea what.

Of all the many people I've heard talk about 2012, no one  -  not even the scientists  -  know what to expect. The only person that I've heard give any practical advice was my professor back in the mid 70s. For whatever it may be worth, I'll pass along what he had said. He pointed out the "three days of darkness" that were spoken of in the bible. He said that for those "three days" it will seem like utter chaos, and that many people will just "lose it". I'm assuming that this could very well be the December 21st, 2012 date. He gave us a few very important instuctions to remember  -  and he emphasized their importance. He said, first of all, for some reason when we recognize the start of these 3 days we're to close our curtains and anything that lets in the outside light. He gave us the impression that we'd recognize when the time was right. He said to tape around the edges of doors and windows so that there's absolutely no opening to the outside. I can't imagine why, but it's sort of 'shades of' Lot's wife  -  where she looked and turned to a pillar of salt.

Also very crucially important, he said, is first and foremost to STAY CALM! See it as a great adventure that we'll be making together. He said to sing songs together with your friends and family that have gathered with you. Singing songs was a very important part of the whole "episode" to him. Calming, mellow songs. One final thing. He said to light candles. I sensed that their purpose was more significant than just because there'll be no electicity or light otherwise. A flame carries a certain elevated energy.
I'm including the image below for the depiction of Earth's procession. The axis makes an eliptical revolution over this period. Just to show another image of what's happening with the Earth over that period. This image is from Drunvalo's "Ancient Secrets of the Flower of Life" Book 1. It's good for the simpler depiction of the circled 'shift' points, altho Drunvalo seemed to feel that it would be in the '90s. He also marked it further to the right than it should be. Those periods occur 900 years beyond each end. Actually my red mark above, as well as the Aquarius division, should be closer to the end as well to be mathematically correct. This gives you the idea tho.

This is a mistake. It should read "Center of the Universe".
